Zombies!!!: Living Dead World

Zombies!!!: Living Dead World

by Chuck "Metal Carnage" Stocky

Object of the Game

In this scenario there will be four teams of three players each trying to score the most points before the book of the dead can undo the spell making the dead rise. They will have to survive the horrors of the town, military base, mall, and finally the forest.

Tile Setup:

The GM or dealer should start by placing the town square in the center of the playing area. Place the front gate of the army base next to the town square followed by a straight road and 4-way as per in Zombies 2. On the opposite side of the town square, place a straight road from the town and then the mall entrance followed by a mall 4-way. Place two straight road tiles next to one of the remaining access points of the town square. Then, construct a 3 across by 4 down grid using the normal rules for tile placement, with the road from town square connecting to the middle of the bottom row. The middle of the top row will contain the Helipad for the town. If the GM or dealer draws a tile that results in the 3x4 not being able to be formed then put it back in the stack of town tiles and draw another tile. Finally, on the one access point from the town square remaining, place a straight road tile from the town and then the bridge from the Zombies 4 expansion. The bridge will be rotated 90 degrees so as to block access to the forest. It will be rotated to allow access at a later point. (See game play below.) Zombies should then be placed as usual on all tiles with the following exception; tiles adjacent to the town helipad should have one zombie on every legal space. The remaining tiles from each expansion should be shuffled into their respective piles with the remaining helipads and the cabin being shuffled into the lower half of each tile deck.

Cards:

All event decks will be used. Each deck should be shuffled and kept as a separate stack and discard pile. The players will be able to request from which expansion(s) his starting hand comes from.

Players:

Prior to the start of the game, players will be broken up into four teams of three players. Each player will receive three life, and three bullets as per standard rules. Three event cards will be deal to each player. From which deck they come from is the choice of the player. All players will start at the center of town square.

Turn Sequence

One player will randomly be determined to start the game. A player from each team will take their turn before the second player from the first team takes their turn.

For example: Bill from team 3 starts the game. A player from team 4 then takes his turn. The same for team 1 and 2. Then Jim takes his turn for team 3. Each team after that has their second player take a turn. Then the third player from each team takes his or her turn, and then its back to Bill.

Playing out a turn takes place as normal with the following exceptions:

Special Rules

Play continues as normal, until one player successfully gets to the center of any helipad. The helipad tile is then removed and the player is placed on the road leading up to the bridge with the same number of bullets and life, and the same hand of event cards. Other players on the same helipad tile are removed to the nearest space of an adjacent tile. Reaching the center space of successive helipads produces the same results with the following exceptions: the Bridge is rotated only for the first helipad, and following helipads score fewer points. Zombies from the removed helipad are put back in the zombie pool. Once the final helipad has been reached the restriction on 2 or less players in one expansion expires. Then the bridge tile is rotated 90 degrees to give access to the forest. Forest tiles may now be played.

The game ends when the Book of the Dead has been successfully read.

At the end of the game, points are tallied up and the team with the most points wins. Points are scored for the following conditions:
